CodesLook License – Extended License

Last revised: March 11, 2025

Overview

The Extended License grants you, the purchaser, a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use the digital Item you purchased from CodesLook. Read the full license for details on what you can and cannot do.

1. License Scope

  1. You are licensed to use the Item to create one single End Product for yourself or for one client (a “single application”), and the End Product may be sold.
  2. End Product:
    • (a) If the Item is a template, the End Product is a customized implementation of the Item.
Example: The item is a magazine template and the End Product is the finished magazine.
    • (b) For other types of Items, the End Product incorporates the Item along with other elements, creating a product larger in scope than the original Item.
Example: The item is a set of icons, and the End Product is a mobile app for sale.

2. What You Can Do

  1. Create the End Product for a client and transfer the license along with it.
  2. Sell and make any number of copies of the single End Product.
  3. Modify, combine, or create derivative works from the Item, as long as the resulting End Product follows clause 1.

3. Restrictions

  1. This license is a single application license, not a multi-use license. You cannot use the Item to create more than one unique End Product.
  2. You cannot redistribute the Item as stock, templates, or source files, even if modified.
  3. You cannot use the Item in applications allowing end users to customize a product for their own purposes (e.g., on-demand, made-to-order, “build it yourself”).
  4. You cannot extract and use a single component of the Item on a standalone basis.
  5. You cannot use the Item in a logo, trademark, or service mark.

4. Additional Terms

  1. Some Items may include third-party components with separate licenses (e.g., fonts, images). Those licenses apply only to those components.
  2. Some Items may be partially licensed under GPL or another open-source license. A “split license” applies to these components only.
  3. Items must be used for lawful purposes only. Images of people may not be used to create fake identities or imply endorsement.
  4. Items containing trademarks or digital versions of real products are licensed for editorial use only, unless additional clearance is obtained.
  5. License termination: Breaching this license may result in termination. You must stop using or distributing the End Product until compliance is restored.
  6. Ownership: The author retains ownership of the Item. You are granted a license under these terms.
